Kling 4.0 Flash: speed and value for frequent creation

Kuaishou opened Kling 4.0 Flash to a limited group of users on September 28, 2026. This page summarizes the officially published Flash specifications; APIMart availability, supported API parameters and pricing will be confirmed separately.

  • 3–20-second single generations at 720p with 8-bit SDR output
  • Text-to-video, first-frame image-to-video and Omni Reference input
  • No first/last-frame or multi-keyframe control — those, plus 1080p/4K and 30 seconds, belong to full Kling 4.0

Announced Kling 4.0 Flash capabilities

Specifications published by Kling for Flash. Limits that Kling has not published are marked as such, and APIMart API support will be confirmed after integration.

Faster, more cost-effective tier

Kling positions Kling 4.0 Flash as a lighter, faster and more cost-effective way to create than full Kling 4.0. No speed figures or prices have been published yet.

3–20-second generations

Each Kling 4.0 Flash generation runs from 3 to 20 seconds — long enough for complete short-form beats without the cost of the full model's 30-second range.

720p output in 8-bit SDR

Flash outputs 720p video in 8-bit SDR. 1080p, 4K and the 10-bit HDR announced as coming soon are full Kling 4.0 features, not Flash features.

Text-to-video

Describe the subject, action, scene and camera movement in a prompt and Kling 4.0 Flash generates the clip. Kling has not published a separate prompt length limit for Flash.

First-frame image-to-video

Start from a single image and animate it into motion — useful for product photos, character art and key visuals that should open the video exactly as designed.

Omni Reference

Kling 4.0 Flash supports Omni Reference for multimodal guidance. Kling has not published Flash reference limits, so full Kling 4.0's 15-reference cap should not be assumed.

Clear boundaries

Flash does not list first/last-frame control, multi-keyframes or video editing. Choose full Kling 4.0 when a project needs keyframes, 4K or 30-second shots.

One API key on APIMart

APIMart already serves Kling 3.0, Kling 3.0 Turbo, Kling Video O1 and other Kling models through one API key. Kling 4.0 Flash endpoints will be documented once access is confirmed.

Workflows to plan for Kling 4.0 Flash

Applications of the announced Flash capabilities for teams that need frequent, affordable video generation.

High-volume social content

Produce daily short-form clips for social channels, where 720p and 3–20-second durations match how the content is actually watched.

Ad creative variations

Generate several hooks, scenes and pacing options quickly to test which creative direction performs before investing in a final cut.

Product clips from photos

Use first-frame image-to-video to turn existing product photos into short motion clips for listings, stores and marketplace ads.

Drafts before the full model

Explore prompts and storyboards with Kling 4.0 Flash, then move the strongest concepts to full Kling 4.0 when you need keyframes, 1080p or 4K.

Reference-guided brand content

Use Omni Reference to keep characters, products or visual styles closer to your source material across a series of clips.

Rapid prompt iteration

Iterate on wording, camera direction and scene details at a faster, lower-cost tier, keeping the full model for final renders.
